UBS Names Houlihan to Oversee Private Wealth in Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas

UBS Wealth Management USA named John Houlihan market executive for part of the Southeast region, giving the Atlanta-based executive oversight of the firm’s private wealth and wealth management businesses across Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
Houlihan reports to Julie Fox, Southeast regional director. He succeeds Greg Achten, a 10-year UBS veteran who said he is retiring after a 40-year career in wealth management.
Houlihan joined UBS in 2015 and most recently served as regional market director for the Northeast. Before UBS, he was a regional director at Barclays in Atlanta. He began his career in 1993 as a financial adviser at Morgan Stanley, where he held branch manager and complex director roles across New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, and Georgia over two decades.
“John is someone our teams and clients already know and trust thanks to his proven track record over the course of his successful career at UBS for more than a decade,” Fox said. “He has led teams across virtually every corner of our industry, and that breadth of experience gives him a perspective few leaders can match.”
UBS also named Tyler Hutchens market executive for the newly created Greater Florida/Gulf Coast Market. This is part of the evolution of UBS’s Florida market structure that was announced earlier this month by creating two distinct markets: Greater Florida/Gulf Coast and South Florida.
Hutchens is responsible for overseeing financial advisers in Naples, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Gainesville and Jacksonville, as well as Louisiana (New Orleans, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge), Jackson, Miss., and Montgomery, Ala.
