Inland Real Estate Group Appoints Michael Collins Head of Global Wealth

The Inland Real Estate Group LLC, a national commercial real estate investment, finance and operating company, has appointed Michael Collins as head of global wealth for its subsidiary, Inland Securities Corporation – the dealer-manager and placement agent for real estate investment programs offered by Inland and its affiliates.
In this newly created role, Collins will lead the firm’s expansion into global private wealth markets. He is tasked with repositioning and growing Inland’s presence within the retail wealth management channel by establishing long-term partnerships with financial advisers and their individual investor clients.
Collins will report directly to Tony Chereso, chief executive officer and president of The Inland Real Estate Companies LLC. His responsibilities include driving the overarching strategy for Inland’s financial advisory platform; enhancing distribution capabilities; bringing Inland’s sales and operations teams under a single, unified leadership structure to improve efficiency and execution; and developing a specialized team to assist advisers in accessing private market solutions for their clients.
“With over 25 years of investment experience across sales and operations, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and a strategic mindset that is perfectly aligned with our goals and Inland’s investor-centric focus,” said Chereso. “His commitment to excellence makes him an exceptional fit for this role, and I am confident that his leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand Inland’s reach and strive to build meaningful value for our investors.”
A Career in Capital Formation and Wealth Solutions
Collins most recently served as managing director on the capital formation team at Hunter Point Capital. Prior to that, he was head of distribution at Easterly Asset Management from 2019 to 2024. Earlier in his career, he held the role of executive managing director at Kennedy Wilson and was an original member of Blackstone’s private wealth solutions sales team.
“The opportunity to lead both the sales and operations teams as we expand our global wealth platform is incredibly energizing,” Collins said regarding his appointment. “I look forward to building on Inland’s 57-year track record … to deliver meaningful solutions, strengthen partnerships, and drive long-term value for investors.”
Collins earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester Simon Business School. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in statistics and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University at Buffalo.
The Inland Real Estate Group, headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill., is part of The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies Inc., one of the nation’s largest vertically integrated real estate investment, finance, and operating groups.
