Waveland Appoints Ante Skorput as SVP to Lead Midwest Capital Formation
Waveland Energy Partners, a private investment sponsor with 25 years of experience in the American energy sector, has announced the appointment of Ante Skorput as senior vice president of business development. In this role, Skorput will lead capital formation across the Midwest, broadening Waveland’s national reach to meet growing adviser demand for its energy investment strategies.
According to the firm, private wealth allocations to energy-focused investments have increased nearly four-fold over the last half-decade. Skorput will work with registered investment advisers, family offices, and investment advisers in key Midwest markets, supporting platform onboarding, adviser education, and relationship building.

Skorput brings significant experience in intermediary distribution and capital raising for alternative investments, including more than 15 years at Hines as regional director for the Midwest. He began his career on Blue Capital Group’s trading desk in 1999 and is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

In September, Waveland Energy Partners announced the launch of Waveland Resource Partners VIII, LP, its newest total return income and growth strategy fund. The fund seeks to raise $100 million from accredited investors.
