Walton Global Announces Senior Hires in Capital Markets and Real Estate

Walton Global, a real estate and land asset management company and sponsor of private placement investments, has announced the appointment of three senior leaders to support the firm’s continued growth across capital markets and real estate.

Michael Richter and Brendan McLaughlin join Walton as senior vice presidents, capital markets, and Marcus Goodwin has been appointed senior vice president, real estate for the Mid-Atlantic.

“With an increasingly complex market environment and rapidly expanding investment scope, Walton Global continues to strengthen its leadership bench with proven industry veterans,” said Bill Doherty, chief executive officer of Walton Global. “Michael, Brendan, and Marcus bring complementary expertise that will deepen our capabilities, enhance execution and support our strategic initiatives across global capital markets and real estate.”

Richter, SVP of capital markets for the West Coast, has more than 10 years of experience in capital raising, specializing in a wide range of investment products, including interval funds, Delaware statutory trusts, preferred stocks, and private placements. According to the company, Richter has a proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with broker-dealers and registered investment advisers, with a particular focus on the Western region.

Prior to joining Walton Global, Richter served as associate vice president at Bluerock for nearly eight years, where he focused on growing assets within California, Hawaii, and Nevada. He is based in Washington and earned a bachelor’s degree with concentrations in finance, real estate, and law from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

McLaughlin, SVP of capital markets for the Central United States, has more than 30 years of experience working with clients and financial advisers. He is proficient across a broad range of financial investments, including separately managed accounts, life insurance, variable annuities, real estate investment trusts, and Regulation D offerings. According to Walton, he is a business development leader with experience supporting distribution strategies and adviser relationships.

Prior to joining Walton Global, McLaughlin spent more than three years at The True Life Companies, serving as a managing director and senior vice president, national sales manager. He is based in Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Northeastern University.

Goodwin, SVP of real estate, leads Walton’s real estate acquisitions, development, and asset management efforts across the Mid-Atlantic region. He has investment analysis, deal structuring and execution experience across a range of asset classes. Prior to Walton, he served as a managing director at Cushman & Wakefield, advising clients on leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in real estate from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.

Walton Global has been on a hiring spree in recent months. It kicked off the year by announcing executive promotions for Katie Doherty and Jonquille Levesque. In November 2025, the company also announced promotions: Katie Hubbard was promoted to president of U.S. capital markets, and Maggie O’Neill to director of fund operations. Additionally, Walton Global expanded its executive leadership team that month with the promotions of Tony Deegan, Matt Keister, and Todd Woodhead to senior vice presidents.

Walton Global is a privately owned land asset management and global real estate investment company with more than 89,000 acres of land under ownership, management, and administration in the United States and Canada, totaling $4.54 billion. Globally, a total of $2.96 billion has been distributed to investors located in 91 countries.
