VestGen Wealth Partners Adds Industry Veteran Bob Hostetter as CIO
Robert “Bob” Hostetter

Wealth management firm VestGen Wealth Partners LLC appointed Robert “Bob” Hostetter, CFA, CAIA, as the firm’s first chief investment officer.

Hostetter is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, innovative and client-centric investment strategies, ensuring that investment objectives align with the firm’s vision and the needs of its clients. He will report to Josh Gerry, founder and chief executive officer of VestGen.

“Since launching in late 2024, we have expanded our executive leadership team to continue offering our advisers the resources, support, and expertise they need to deliver an exceptional client experience,” Gerry said. “Bob’s unique perspective will further elevate VestGen’s investment program and provide our advisers access to high-quality, robust and innovative solutions that exceed their clients’ expectations.”

Hostetter brings over 25 years of investment experience to his role as CIO. Before joining VestGen, he was the managing partner of institutional client solutions, providing institutions, financial advisers and family offices with access to unique, independent advice, and technology tools. His previous roles include global head of solutions at Russell Investments from 2017 to 2023, global head of product strategy at AllianceBernstein from 2014 to 2017, and product manager at William Blair & Company from 2008 to 2014.

He has managed investment offerings serving institutions and individuals, from venture capital to frontier infrastructure and even helped launch one of the first turnkey asset management platforms, i.e., TAMPs, earlier in his career.

Hostetter added, “I’m thrilled to join VestGen at such an exciting time. The firm has terrific momentum and is investing heavily to build a platform that meets the needs of wealth advisers and clients today and tomorrow. VestGen is committed to the active implementation of personalized portfolios spanning diverse asset classes and investment solutions. I look forward to working with the team and leveraging my background on the product and advisory sides of the business to help our advisers achieve better outcomes for their clients.”

There has been a flurry of hires for VestGen this summer and year. In July 2025, it named Rob Bondiman as national head of advisers and then Matt LaLonde as director of insurance – leading the firm’s insurance division, VestGen Insurance Partners, or VGIP. In February, AltsWire announced the expansion of VestGen’s leadership and adviser teams.

VestGen Wealth Partners integrates comprehensive financial planning, tax, wealth management, insurance, and legal services. It launched in December 2024 with 10 financial advisory practices that collectively manage $5.3 billion in assets.
