The Exeter Group Promotes Amanda Brynoff to VP and Controller

The Exeter Group of Companies has promoted Amanda J. Brynoff to vice president and controller. In her new role, Brynoff will oversee financial and regulatory reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls for all entities within the corporate group.
Her oversight extends to the organization’s primary operating businesses, including Exeter 1031 Exchange Services LLC, Exeter Trust Company, and Exeter Asset Services Corporation.
The promotion is particularly significant for Exeter Trust Company, a Wyoming-based entity that operates under the regulatory oversight of the Wyoming Division of Banking.
“Amanda has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and technical expertise during her tenure with our organization,” said William L. Exeter, chair and chief executive officer of The Exeter Group of Companies. “Her leadership capabilities and strategic approach to our complex accounting operations have been invaluable to our corporate growth.”
As vice president and controller, Brynoff will manage the organization’s relationship with external auditors and ensure that financial practices across the trust administration and tax-deferred exchange sectors remain transparent and compliant.
Maureen H. Brown, president and chief operating officer of The Exeter Group of Companies, said Brynoff’s financial and operational skills will be critical as the firm grows. “Amanda possesses the exact technical knowledge, analytical skills, and operational focus necessary to ensure our accounting practices continuously meet the highest standards expected by our industry, our clients, and our governing regulators,” Brown stated.
Prior to joining The Exeter Group in 2025, Brynoff served as development accounting manager at Confluent Development from 2021 to 2024. She also held multiple roles at NexCore Group from 2016 to 2021. Brynoff earned her bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Earlier this month, The Exeter Group promoted Brett L. Davis to senior vice president and chief trust officer, giving him direct oversight of trust administration, custody and compliance operations for Exeter Trust Company.
The Exeter Group provides specialized financial services focused on wealth preservation and tax deferral. Its operating subsidiaries include:
- Exeter 1031 Exchange Services LLC: A San Diego, Calif.-based national qualified intermediary for 1031 exchange transactions; and
