Madison Capital Group, a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm, has appointed Andrew Nerney as executive vice president, where he will be responsible for expanding the firm’s distribution efforts across the Midwest.

Nerney has been tasked with strengthening Madison Capital’s presence by working closely with broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, and other financial professionals. His primary responsibilities will include: providing resources and training on private market strategies; product positioning, aligning the firm’s alternative investment solutions with the needs of high-net-worth and institutional investors; and partnership development – building long-term, sustainable relationships within the financial adviser community.

“Andy brings deep capital markets experience and a proven ability to engage advisors and their clients in meaningful conversations around alternative investment strategies,” said Jeff Kremin, president of Madison Capital Markets.

Nerney brings a 30-year career to the firm, marked by extensive experience in both traditional and alternative asset classes. His background spans a wide array of sophisticated vehicles, including: real estate investments, private placement programs and trust structures, Delaware statutory trusts, private credit, and venture capital.

Prior to this appointment, Nerney held senior leadership positions at several prominent real estate alternative investment sponsors. He was senior vice president of capital markets for LYNK Capital for the greater part of 2025. Before that, he was managing director for The True Life Companies from 2022 until the beginning of 2025. He also spent a year at Shopoff Realty Investments.

Madison Capital Group has executed more than $6 billion in real estate transactions to date. The firm specializes in real estate investments and tax mitigation strategies, leveraging its acquisition platform to deliver capital appreciation and revenue growth to its investors.

The appointment of Nerney, according to Madison Capital, reflects its commitment to meeting the rising demand for differentiated investment solutions as advisers increasingly look toward private markets for portfolio diversification.

In other personnel news, Madison Capital Group appointed Matt McCoy president of Madison Commercial LLC last fall. With more than 25 years of experience and over $15 billion in equity, debt, and advisory transactions, McCoy is overseeing the investment strategy and operations for Madison Commercial.

Madison Capital Group, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., is a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm with approximately $4 billion in assets under management, focused on the acquisition, development, and operation of multifamily, self-storage, recreational storage, marina, and commercial real estate assets nationwide.
