Cottonwood Hires Jeffrey Namendorf to Lead South Central Territory Sales

CW Markets Group, a branch office of Orchard Securities and the capital markets division and wholesale distribution arm of Cottonwood Communities, has hired Jeffrey Namendorf as senior vice president of capital markets for its South Central territory covering Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
The role will support the firm’s wholesaling efforts as it expands from six to seven territories, which now include the Northwest, Southwest, Great Plains, Great Lakes, Northeast, Southeast, and South Central.
Based out of Austin, Texas, Namendorf first began his career in the financial services industry over 30 years ago as a financial adviser before moving into wholesaling, where he has worked with mutual funds, annuities, and alternative investments, such as real estate investment trusts, 1031 exchanges, and interval funds.
Most recently, he was senior regional vice president at Pacific Oak Capital for over four years with a focus on large independent broker-dealer and registered investment adviser offices throughout Texas and the South Central region. As previously reported by AltsWire, Pacific Oak Capital ceased operations at the end of June.
Prior to that, Namendorf spent 17 years with the Black Creek Group from 2003 to 2020 supporting capital raising efforts for their alternative investment offerings and according to Cottonwood, was their overall top producer during his tenure. His vast experience includes building and managing relationships with financial intermediaries across broker-dealer, regional independent, and RIA channels.
“We are pleased to announce the expansion of our capital markets team with the addition of Jeffrey to Cottonwood. Bringing decades of industry experience across a diverse range of financial products, he will play a key role in strengthening and expanding our relationships within the South Central region,” said Eric Marlin, executive vice president of capital markets, CW Markets Group.
Jeffrey received a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University and holds FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63 licenses.
Earlier this summer, CW Markets Group hired Chris Lockwood as SVP of capital markets to cover wholesaling efforts in its Southeast territory. He also spent the past five years with Pacific Oak Capital. Prior still, Cottonwood hired Cameron Lyner to cover wholesaling efforts in the Northwest territory.
