AmeriFlex Hybrid RIA Adds $354M Ex-Osaic Team

The AmeriFlex Group, an adviser-owned hybrid registered investment adviser, announced that Jacob Reid and his four-person team at Capital Insight Financial Group have officially onboarded from Osaic and manage approximately $354 million of client funds and assets.

The AmeriFlex Group hybrid consists of the firm’s adviser-owned RIA and Cambridge Investment Research as its broker-dealer partner. AmeriFlex left Osaic, as well, and announced the partnership with Cambridge over the summer, a move that brought approximately $11.87 billion in total client assets and its 129 financial advisers to the Cambridge platform.

“The AmeriFlex Group is an adviser-owned and truly independent firm where like-minded professionals, such as Jacob and his team, can thrive,” said Thomas Goodson, chief executive officer and founder of The AmeriFlex Group. “As we continue to speak with advisers from across the industry, we constantly hear that flexibility and autonomy are top priorities of entrepreneurial, growth-minded advisors. Jacob and his team are a remarkable fit for our group, and we’re excited to support their continued growth.”

Based in Livermore, Calif., Capital Insight Financial Group is a transitional wealth planning firm, supporting individual investors with specialized financial planning and customized investment approaches, as well as business owners with qualified plans and individuals experiencing transitional life events.

“As I considered the next phase of my career, I knew that I needed to partner with someone who respected my experience and abilities to shape the future of my practice,” Reid said. “Working with Tom and the entire AmeriFlex Group leadership team made it clear that they would provide the right level of support and flexibility for me and my team.”

Jesse Kurrasch, chief operating officer with AmeriFlex, emphasized the positive transition to Cambridge as its broker-dealer partner. “Choosing to partner with Cambridge has enabled our team to deliver better options for our advisers and streamline our recruitment process.

“In just three months, we’ve already welcomed several teams that represent a combined $634 million in total client assets to our firm,” added Kurrasch.

Capital Insight Financial Group is AmeriFlex’s second significant recruitment since transitioning from Osaic. It brought aboard the $280 million Summit Financial & Insurance Services in July.
