ExchangeRight, a Pasadena, Calif.-based sponsor of Delaware statutory trust and real estate investment trust offerings, has hired Paul Dietterich as senior vice president of its Tri-State region.

Dietterich joins the firm’s distribution team. He will work with representatives, advisers, and their clients in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and southern New York, including New York City. His territory sits next to the one ExchangeRight assigned last month to Peter Nicolas, who was named senior vice president of the New England region with responsibility for upstate New York.

ExchangeRight said Dietterich has more than 15 years of leadership experience in financial services, including in alternative investments, separately managed accounts, fixed index annuities, and portfolio construction. He most recently worked in the alternatives channel at Megatel Capital Investment, the capital markets arm of Texas homebuilder The Megatel Group, which he joined in 2022 as regional vice president of its Northeast region. Before Megatel, he was a director at Rising Star Distributors from 2018 to 2022 and a regional vice president at Realty Capital Securities from 2012 to 2016, where he was responsible for sales across the New York tri-state region.

Dietterich holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses and a bachelor’s degree in business and technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

“Paul’s background in alternative investments and managed account solutions makes him a strong addition to our distribution team,” said Joshua Ungerecht, a managing partner at ExchangeRight.

“I am excited to partner with wealth advisors throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the New York metro area to help meet their clients’ needs for tax deferral and passive income,” Dietterich said.

Dietterich is the latest of several regional and national accounts hires at ExchangeRight in 2026. Besides Nicolas in October, the firm named Ken Beck senior vice president of its Four Corners region in June. Earlier in the year, it added senior vice presidents for the Central and Pacific Northwest regions and two for national accounts.

The hires come as the firm’s Essential Income REIT diversifies its net-leased portfolio. Last week, AltsWire reported that the nontraded REIT acquired the Dow Texas Innovation Center, a 664,100-square-foot research and development campus leased to Dow Chemical in Lake Jackson, Texas, from Brixton Capital through a Section 721 exchange. The REIT reported a net asset value of $27.72 per share as of Sept. 30.

ExchangeRight said that, together with its affiliates, it had more than $7.8 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30, across more than 1,400 properties totaling 31 million square feet in 47 states. It sponsors 1031 DST portfolios, its Essential Income REIT, and preferred equity and income funds.
