LPL Adds Cetera, Morgan Stanley Teams With $700M in Client Assets

LPL Financial added two advisory teams to its network this week, representing a combined $700 million in client assets.

Paxel Financial Consulting, led by founder Chin Po, joined LPL’s broker-dealer and registered investment adviser platform through Private Advisor Group, bringing approximately $300 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets from Cetera. Separately, WestKai Private Wealth, led by chief executive officer Don Harrell, joined LPL Strategic Wealth, LPL’s supported independence model, with approximately $400 million in assets from Morgan Stanley.

San Diego, Calif.-based Paxel Financial Consulting, founded in 1989, provides financial planning, estate planning, and retirement guidance, with a focus on clients navigating immigration and cross-border financial matters. The team includes financial advisers Young Po, Harry Lee, Jim Xu, and Gary Jiang, all certified public accountants.

“For many of the families we serve, especially those navigating the challenges of immigration and cross-border financial complexities, having an adviser who understands their unique circumstances can make a meaningful difference in their lives,” Chin Po said.

WestKai Private Wealth, based in San Clemente, Calif., was founded by Harrell, a certified financial planner, and also includes private wealth adviser Blake Davidson. The firm serves individuals, families, retirees, corporate executives, and professional athletes, offering retirement planning, estate planning, and alternative investment access.

“We made this move to better serve our clients,” Harrell said. “LPL’s technology, investment platform and commitment to advisor independence give us the flexibility to deliver more personalized advice and a broader range of solutions.”

LPL Financial supports more than 32,400 financial advisers and approximately 1,100 financial institutions, and serviced and custodied approximately $2.6 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets as of June 30, 2026, as reported on its second-quarter earnings call.
