Trusted Edge Advisory Debuts to Help Alts Sponsors Access Broker-Dealer, RIA Platforms

Industry veteran Christy Hutchison has founded Trusted Edge Advisory to provide guidance to alternative investment sponsors navigating broker-dealer and registered investment adviser platform distribution. The firm has already been engaged by Shopoff Realty Investments and Appreciation Homes.

Hutchison founded Trusted Edge Advisory following more than two decades in the alternative investments industry, including over a decade focused on national accounts and platform distribution. Her work includes helping sponsors understand how platforms evaluate opportunities and how to effectively position themselves as they pursue distribution.

“Platform decisions are rarely driven by product alone,” said Hutchison. “Sponsors are evaluated on credibility, operational infrastructure, alignment with advisers, and overall strategic fit. The firms that gain traction with platforms understand this. Growth is earned through credibility.”

Through Trusted Edge Advisory, Hutchison works directly with sponsors to develop and manage platform relationships. She advises sponsors on engagement strategy with broker-dealer and RIA platforms and helps prepare firms for due diligence.

Prior to launching Trusted Edge Advisory, Hutchison held roles at Shopoff Realty Investments from 2017 to 2026, most recently serving as senior vice president of national accounts. In that role, she led platform strategy and worked closely with broker-dealers and RIAs nationwide.

She also currently serves on the board of ADISA, contributing to industry conversations around due diligence standards and distribution practices.
