Purified Resource Partners Names Phillip Jensen Managing Director of Capital Formation
Purified Resource Partners, an alternative investment firm focused on oil and gas, named Phillip Jensen managing director of capital formation. The firm said Jensen will lead broker-dealer and registered investment adviser channel expansion for PRP Bakken II LP, the firm’s second fund, which launched in November 2025 and is seeking to raise up to $40 million from accredited investors.
Jensen brings more than two decades of executive experience with a track record spanning energy, real estate, private equity, and credit-focused platforms. He has worked across broker-dealer, RIA, and national accounts channels throughout his career, and the firm said Jensen’s breadth of channel relationships will be central to his mandate at Purified Resource Partners.
Most recently, Jensen served as managing director at Skyway Capital Markets from 2023 to 2026, where he led fundraising and national distribution for energy-focused sponsors. His responsibilities there encompassed sponsor positioning, due diligence coordination, adviser education, and strategic market expansion.
Earlier, Jensen was managing director of national accounts at APX Energy from 2018 to 2023, where, the firm said, he scaled APX’s national distribution reach to more than 20,000 financial advisers. He also held leadership positions at Hines Securities from 2004 to 2016.
At Purified Resource Partners, Jensen will focus on national distribution growth and strategic partner development across the broker-dealer and RIA channels. He joins Craig Von Peters as part of what the firm describes as a “highly experienced team assembled to support the second fund’s capital raise.”
PRP Bakken II LP follows PRP Bakken I LP, Purified’s inaugural fund, which has raised $15 million from friends and family.
Jensen earned his Master of Business Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses, along with additional certifications in asset management and project management.
