Perigon Acquires N.J.-Based Firms With $1.3 Billion in Client Assets

Perigon Wealth Management LLC, an investment advisory firm with approximately $9.3 billion in client assets, announced it has acquired Gitterman Wealth Management and Gitterman Asset Management. The firms, based in Edison, N.J., manage $1.3 billion in total client assets.

The Gitterman firms consist of a team of six wealth managers who specialize in working with individual investors, as well as college and university professionals via the New Jersey Alternate Benefit Program and the Public Employee Retirement System. Gitterman partners Jeffrey Gitterman and Eli Rauch will become managing directors at Perigon.

“Perigon’s growth strategy is rooted in partnering with firms and individuals who align with our culture and add tangible value for clients,” said Arthur Ambarik, chief executive officer of Perigon. “We are expanding thoughtfully, with the conviction that growth and principles go hand in hand. Jeff and Eli share this perspective, and I look forward to working with them to strengthen both our profession and the communities we serve.”

Jeffrey Gitterman is a recognized leader in the climate-focused investing field with an emphasis on climate adaptation and resilience. He founded Gitterman Wealth Management in 2000 to provide wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals and higher education professionals. He is also the co-founder of the firm’s suite of global climate-aware allocation strategies available to financial adviser firms and individual investors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff, Eli, and their entire team to Perigon. Many of us have known and respected Jeff for years, and we admire the business and culture that he and Eli have built,” said Jon Hoy, president of corporate development at Perigon. “Bringing our organizations together will strengthen our capabilities while preserving what makes both firms unique – a deep commitment to our clients and our people.”

Rauch began his financial services career in the banking sector before joining Gitterman Wealth Management as an adviser in 2000. He became a partner a decade later and focuses on high-net-worth individuals, small business owners, foundations, and endowments.

Gitterman added, “We work with multiple generations of clients, and partnering with Perigon ensures we can address the wealth management needs of our clients’ families well into the future. Perigon’s strength and reputation in impact investing made our decision to join this team easy and will allow our team to continue to enhance our asset management strategy for our individual and institutional clients.”

This acquisition continues Perigon’s recent emphasis on expansion. Last year, the firm acquired a New York-based firm with approximately $150 million in assets under management, along with other firms based in New York and Michigan. Perigon also recently reported that four of its advisers had earned ownership stakes in the company.

Perigon Wealth Management is an independent registered investment adviser firm with more than $9.3 billion in client assets as of Sept. 1, 2025. With the addition of Gitterman Wealth Management, the firm reported that Perigon’s total assets under management will be approximately $10.6 billion following the completion of the transaction.
