Olympus Property Appoints David Pittman Senior Vice President of Capital Markets

By Mari Nicholson

Olympus Property has appointed David Pittman as senior vice president of capital markets. In this role, Pittman will drive the firm’s national accounts strategy while also leading East Coast distribution across the broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, and family office channels.

“David’s experience across national accounts, adviser distribution, and product development makes him a strong addition to our growing capital markets team,” said Kevin Kensinger, managing director of capital markets at Olympus Property.

Pittman brings 24 years of experience in alternative investment distribution, adviser engagement, and national account management. Most recently, he was head of capital markets at multifamily real estate investment company Bonaventure. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president, capital markets for Cottonwood Communities where he raised capital in the Southeast and Puerto Rico.

For the four years before his tenure at Cottonwood, Pittman led Strategic Blueprint, an RIA affiliated with The Strategic Financial Alliance, growing it from one office with $118 million in assets to 19 offices with $1.6 billion in assets. He has also held various sales and leadership roles at Wells Real Estate Funds and FS Investments, focusing on both wholesale and retail distribution of alternative investment programs.

At Olympus, he will prioritize expanding the selling group, strengthening relationships with key distribution partners, and supporting capital formation for the firm’s real estate investment offerings, including Delaware statutory trusts and other private placement programs.

The hire comes as Olympus expands its distribution platform in the independent adviser channel. The firm recently launched its second DST, Olympus Coronado DST, a $41.32 million offering structured as a Regulation D 506(c) for accredited investors seeking 1031 exchange and cash investment opportunities.

Pittman received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.

He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses and currently serves on the board of directors for the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association, known as ADISA.

Olympus Property, founded in 1992 and headquartered in Fort Worth, reports ownership, management, or development of 137 properties totaling approximately 36,000 units nationwide.
