Madison Capital Group Elevates Verdone to Lead Multifamily Investment Strategy

Madison Capital Group has promoted Rook Verdone to managing director of investments, where he will oversee investment strategy and transaction execution for Madison Communities, the Charlotte-based firm’s multifamily vertical.

Verdone most recently served as director of multifamily investments, where he led underwriting and transaction execution across multifamily and build-to-rent development, acquisition, and refinance opportunities. Since joining the firm, he has overseen more than $1.2 billion in new deal volume and supported a multifamily portfolio exceeding $2 billion in assets under management.

Before joining Madison Capital Group, Verdone was an acquisition associate at ArborCrowd, focused on limited partnership equity investments in multifamily and build-to-rent assets across the risk spectrum. He began his career at Balfour Beatty Construction as a project manager covering owner-operator capital improvements, developments, and tenant upfits.

Verdone holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School with a concentration in real estate finance and development, and a bachelor’s degree in construction science and management from Clemson University.

Last month, Madison Communities broke ground on Madison Trinity, a 79-unit BTR townhome community in Nashville, Tenn. The project is the company’s first BTR community and marks its expansion into the sector.
