Inland Joins iCapital Marketplace Expanding Adviser Access to Real Estate Alts

Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation, i.e., Inland Investments, announced a strategic relationship with global investment marketplace platform iCapital. With this collaboration, Inland Investments said financial advisers and their clients will gain access to its tax-advantaged real estate securitized 1031 exchanges, 721 exchanges, opportunity zones, private placements, and real estate investment trusts via the iCapital Marketplace.

As an investment manager offering public and private real estate securities, Inland Investments provides tax, growth, and income strategies that fulfill a variety of clients’ financial goals. Since inception, Inland Investments and its affiliates have sponsored 844 investment programs across all commercial real estate sectors, with more than 490,000 investors.

“We are thrilled to work with iCapital and their innovative alternative investment focused platform that delivers education, more efficient transaction processing, and research capabilities to the wealth management community,” commented Phil Graham, executive vice president, strategic relations at Inland Securities Corporation. “As demand increases for alternative investments, particularly tax advantaged real estate solutions, connecting with iCapital provides Inland an expanded stage to provide investment solutions to an increasingly sophisticated and growing cohort of investors.”

Inland Investments is just the latest investment manager to make their offerings available on the iCapital Marketplace or otherwise partner with the global fintech platform. Last year, per reporting by AltsWire, Leon Capital Group, an Arax Investment Partners RIA, and Bain Capital Credit LP were among the many to announce new iCapital relationships, as did Commonwealth Financial Network. Now that LPL Financial is acquiring Commonwealth for roughly $2.7 billion in cash, the future relationship between Commonwealth and iCapital has yet to be shared.

Also last year, Kestra Financial expanded its roughly six-year partnership with iCapital to enable more comprehensive access to alternative investment offerings and related resources.

“We are excited to partner with the Inland team to bring their innovative alternative opportunities to the market,” said Steve Houston, managing director and co-head of iCapital Solutions. “The inclusion of Inland’s range of alternative strategies on iCapital Marketplace underscores our continued efforts to deliver unique investment solutions that cater to the diverse financial objectives of advisers and their clients.”
