iCapital Joins BNY, Nasdaq, S&P Global in $50M Investment in Blockchain Firm

Global fintech platform iCapital has joined BNY, Nasdaq, and S&P Global in a $50 million strategic investment in Digital Asset, the creator of the Canton Network and a leader in privacy-enabled blockchain technology for global financial markets.

The investment builds on Digital Asset’s recent funding momentum and underscores growing institutional alignment behind the Canton Network – a permissionless Layer-1 blockchain designed for privacy, compliance, and scalability to support real-world assets onchain. governance and collaborative application development.

The investment highlights the growing convergence of traditional (TradFi) and decentralized (DeFi) finance, and Canton’s role in bridging both with privacy, legal certainty, and regulatory compliance.
