Go Store It Self Storage Promotes Chance Nelson to Senior VP of Operations

As it seeks to expand its national portfolio and invest in new technology, Go Store It Self Storage has named Chance Nelson senior vice president of operations.
Nelson previously served as director of remote solutions for Go Store It, where he focused on technology-driven platforms that support customer service and operational performance across the company’s growing footprint.
In his new role, he will oversee field operations, the company’s contact center, facilities services, operations support, and onboarding while helping shape strategic plans tied to Go Store It’s continued growth.
Nelson said a key focus will be leveraging the strength of the company’s operations team to advance performance, foster continued growth, and invest in technologies that enhance the customer experience.
“The self-storage industry has historically been slow to adopt new technology,” he said. “Go Store It is already ahead of many competitors, but technology continues to evolve. Our goal is to integrate it effectively while maintaining the human component that customers still expect. That balance between the best people and the best technology will be critical as we serve a growing customer base.”
Go Store It executives said Nelson’s background across both public and private storage operators positions him well to lead the company’s operational platform.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chance for over a decade, and hands down, he’s one of the most talented operators in self-storage,” said Beau Agnello, chief operating officer of Go Store It. “His blend of experience at a leading public [real estate investment trust] and private operators brings incredible value and perspective.”
The company said Nelson will play a central role in strengthening operations across its national platform as it continues to pursue new development and acquisition opportunities.
Nelson brings more than 15 years of self-storage leadership experience and a record of scaling operations and driving performance. At Extra Space Storage, he led multistate teams and later served as director and vice president at Mini Mall Storage Properties. Most recently, he managed the call center at XPS Solutions, a service provider to the self-storage industry.
