Forum Investment Group Appoints Grant Turner Managing Director of 1031 Exchange Platform

Forum Investment Group, a Denver-based boutique investment management firm, has appointed Grant Turner as managing director and client portfolio manager for Forum Exchange, the firm’s 1031 exchange and Delaware statutory trust distribution platform. The hire is intended to support the firm’s long-term exchange strategy.
“Grant brings deep experience in 1031 exchanges, intermediary distribution, and adviser education,” said Lee Beck, president at Forum. “We believe his experience scaling exchange platforms and supporting advisers through complex transactions will enhance our ability to grow Forum Exchange nationally, while maintaining the disciplined, service-oriented approach that defines our firm.”
In the newly created role, Turner will serve as a senior client-facing leader and subject matter expert across Forum’s 1031, DST, and 721 exchange strategies. He will support capital formation efforts across registered investment advisers, wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, and high-net-worth adviser networks, while helping advisers navigate the technical, structural, and positioning considerations of tax-advantaged exchange strategies.
“Forum has built a differentiated real estate platform grounded in discipline, collaboration, and long-term value creation,” said Turner. “I’m excited to join the team and help expand Forum Exchange by supporting advisers and their clients with thoughtful, well-structured 1031 and 721 solutions.”
Turner joins Forum with more than 13 years of experience in real estate investment solutions, capital raising, and intermediary distribution, eight of which were at Ares Wealth Management. Most recently, he served as exchange specialist at Ares, where he supported the Black Creek and Ares Real Estate Exchange platforms and completed more than $867 million in 1031 exchange transactions.
Previously, Turner was an internal wholesaler with Jackson National Life Insurance Company and Curian Capital, the asset management arm of Jackson.
“This addition reflects our continued investment in expanding Forum Exchange,” added Harry Alcock, chief investment officer at Forum. “Grant’s ability to simplify complex structures and build trusted adviser relationships will be instrumental as we continue to scale the platform.”
Turner holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
Forum Investment Group operates across 25 states and provides access to a range of real estate investment strategies spanning development, acquisition and financing.
