Coller Secondaries Private Equity Opportunities Fund Surpasses $1B AUM

Coller Capital, one of the world’s largest private market secondaries managers, announced that its Coller Secondaries Private Equity Opportunities Fund, or C-SPEF, has surpassed $1 billion in assets under management as of September 2025.

Launched in April 2024, the fund has been driven by steady subscriptions from a diverse investor base across private wealth, institutional, and intermediary channels. C-SPEF provides investors access to private market secondaries through an evergreen structure, offering exposure to highly diversified private equity portfolios.

“Crossing the billion-dollar threshold underscores the strength of our platform and the appetite among wealth investors for access to high quality private market secondaries,” said Jon McEvoy, managing director and head of U.S. private wealth distribution at Coller Capital. “C-SPEF brings Coller’s three decades of secondaries expertise to a broader investor base, offering diversification, transparency, and performance in a single evergreen structure.”

Over its first 18 months, C-SPEF’s Class I-shares have delivered a 17.93% annualized return since inception, reflecting both strong underlying asset performance and Coller’s three decades of expertise in secondary market investing.

The fund has established exposure to 128 investments across 1,254 portfolio companies, spanning 70 leading private equity sponsors including TPG, CVC, Carlyle, and Blackstone as of the end of September. These investments underscore C-SPEF’s scale and diversification, providing investors with a global portfolio of buyout and growth opportunities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

C-SPEF’s growth aligns with surging wealth channel demand for private market secondaries, which historically have offered shorter investment durations, greater transparency, and less volatile cash-flow profiles than traditional primary private equity funds. This demand has accelerated through 2024–2025 as investors seek differentiated private market access solutions.

“Private markets have steadily evolved toward greater liquidity and access, and the rise of evergreen structures for wealth investors marks a significant milestone in that journey. Coller Capital is proud to have played a role in this transformation, a result of years of innovation and commitment to expanding opportunities for investors globally,” said Jake Elmhirst, partner and global head of private wealth and capital formation at Coller Capital. “This milestone reflects the growing recognition that secondaries are not just a specialist strategy but a core component of long-term private market investing.”

Coller Capital’s Private Wealth Secondaries Solutions business, launched in 2023, has raised over $5 billion in private wealth assets globally, as of June 30, 2025. Leveraging the strength of Coller’s global platform across 10 global offices, the private wealth business is now home to more than 65 dedicated professionals with significant expansion in North America and Europe.

Coller Capital is a global leader in the secondary market for private assets, renowned for being a pioneer and innovator in the asset class. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in London, Coller provides investment and liquidity solutions to private market investors worldwide, and currently manages $46 billion in private equity, private credit, and other private market vehicles.
