CAIS Connector Brings CAISey, Client Alternatives Data Into Claude

Alternative investment platform CAIS is joining Anthropic’s Claude for Financial Advisors with a new connector that brings its CAISey artificial intelligence agent and client-specific private markets information into Claude, the company announced.
The connector is designed to work alongside the CRM, custody, and portfolio reporting tools advisory firms already use with Claude, CAIS said. According to the company, advisers can use it to review fund eligibility and capital call details before client meetings, check private investment positions and unfunded commitments during portfolio reviews, and look up repurchase windows when confirming investor eligibility.
The move is the next phase of an AI build-out at CAIS that began a year ago. The firm unveiled CAISey at its October 2025 summit as a conversational research tool embedded in the CAIS platform. In May, CAIS launched an initial integration with Claude that gave advisers access to fund data, performance analytics, and portfolio insights. Where those tools centered on fund research, the new connector reaches into client holdings and the lifecycle details of alternative investments. CAIS said CAISey is now deployed to nearly 25,000 advisers on its platform.
Kan Kotecha, chief technology officer of CAIS, said the firm has already worked with several clients to integrate CAISey into their own platforms.
“We’re committed to building a streamlined platform experience for advisors that includes full functionality to be embedded within their workstations, reducing the need to navigate across multiple platforms,” Kotecha said.
Anthropic launched Claude for Financial Advisors in mid-September as a set of connectors and workflow tools linking Claude to custodians, CRMs, portfolio platforms, and other wealth management software. Fellow alternative investment platform iCapital was among the launch partners. CAIS was one of several firms, along with Invesco, MSCI, and Conquest, that announced new connectors Oct. 27.
“Alternative investments come with details that advisors need to keep track of, from capital calls to repurchase windows,” said Peter Nolan, head of asset and wealth management at Anthropic.
Founded in 2009, CAIS serves more than 2,500 wealth management firms that support more than 65,000 financial advisers overseeing approximately $8.5 trillion in end-client assets, according to the company. In July, CAIS closed a $170 million Series D round led by Vista Equity Partners that it said valued the firm at more than $2 billion.
