Axxes Capital Appoints Arun Kaul to New Chief Investment Strategist Role
Arun Kaul

Axxes Capital has appointed Arun Kaul as chief investment strategist. In this new role, Kaul will lead Axxes Capital’s market intelligence, education, and thought leadership initiatives designed to advance understanding and adoption of private investments within the broader wealth management community.

“We are extremely fortunate to have a seasoned leader like Arun join the Axxes team,” said Joseph DaGrosa Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Axxes Capital. “As more investors seek access to private investments and their potential benefits, his depth of experience and passion for the industry make him the perfect partner to help us continue to bridge the gap between innovative private investments and the advisers and clients looking for new ways to diversify and grow their wealth.”

As chief investment strategist, Kaul will be responsible for guiding Axxes Capital’s strategic positioning and market outlook across the private markets landscape. He will oversee the firm’s competitive and regulatory intelligence efforts, both domestically and internationally, helping identify opportunities and changes that could impact product structure, distribution, or investor access. In addition, he will drive the firm’s adviser education and advocacy initiatives, ensuring that financial professionals are well-informed regarding the value and mechanics of private investments, while also supporting the internal sales force through educational tools, presentations, and messaging alignment.

“I’m excited to join Axxes Capital at such a pivotal moment for private markets,” said Kaul. “As private investments become a larger part of the modern portfolio, advisers and their clients are increasingly seeking clarity and education on how to integrate options, like interval funds, into their investment strategy. My goal is to help make that access more streamlined and impactful through Axxes’ adviser-driven approach.”

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Axxes said Kaul brings deep investment and leadership expertise to the firm. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for the management of equities, bonds, multi-asset strategies, and hedge funds. He has also overseen manager-of-managers platforms and conducted diligence on hundreds of private market strategies spanning private equity, private credit, and real estate.

Prior to joining Axxes Capital, Kaul founded Boutique CIO, where he also currently serves as president and chief investment officer, providing comprehensive investment solutions to family offices, private clients, and registered investment advisers. He previously served as chief investment strategist at Mainstreet Advisors (now a division of Fifth Third Bank), along with positions as president and CIO of a $2 billion RIA in Boca Raton and principal and co-CIO of Hillsdale Investment Management, a firm he helped grow from inception to more than $500 million in assets.

Kaul earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Western University and holds the chartered financial analyst designation. He is a frequent conference speaker, a regular contributor to industry publications, and has mentored dozens of graduates through Boutique CIO’s internship program.

In August 2025, AltsWire reported that Axxes had launched its announced the official launch of the Axxes Opportunistic Credit Fund, which is now accepting investments. The interval fund, previously registered and declared effective in October 2024, allocates capital across opportunistic credit – including stressed/distressed, special situations, structured credit, and hard assets. The company said the fund’s flexible investment mandate ensures the fund can adapt as markets evolve.

Launched in 2021, Axxes Capital is a private markets investment management firm committed to delivering innovative, institutionally backed investment solutions to wealth advisers and their clients. The firm partners with independent, established asset managers to offer retail investors access to private equity, credit, structured finance, and alternative strategies, all through adviser-friendly vehicles.
