Hamilton Point Names Inland Veteran Sean Hall to Lead DST Fundraising
Sean Hall

Hamilton Point Investments, or HPI, named Sean Hall senior vice president of tax deferral strategies, adding a veteran 1031 exchange and Delaware statutory trust fundraiser to lead equity fundraising for the sponsor’s DST offerings, the company said.

Hall joins Hamilton Point after 15 years at Inland Securities Corp., where he helped raise $2 billion in equity across 1031 exchange and DST offerings, funds, and LLCs.

HPI said it has stepped up its DST syndication activity in recent years, completing its 10th 1031 exchange transaction in mid-2026, with another offering open to investors. The sponsor has fully realized seven of its DST deals to date, generating an average net internal rate of return of 14% to investors, the company said.

“I am excited to join a firm with HPI’s track record of returns for its investors over the last 17 years,” Hall said. He said his approach of building relationships with broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, and individual investors – the same approach that drove his success at Inland – will complement HPI’s existing equity fundraising team.

David Kelsey, HPI co-founder and managing principal, said the firm has known and respected Inland since its founding.

Formed in 2009, HPI is a real estate private equity sponsor focused on multifamily and other habitational properties. Through its funds and affiliates, the company has completed more than 150 real estate investments totaling more than 32,000 apartment units, manufactured housing lots, and hotel keys, with a combined value exceeding $4.5 billion.

Last month, AltsWire reported that the company had launched HPI Deer Creek DST, seeking to raise $27.9 million in equity to acquire Xenia Trails, a 312-unit apartment complex outside Dayton, Ohio. The offering is Hamilton Point’s 11th DST and its second this year, following the January launch of HPI Farmhouse DST, a South Carolina-based DST that fully subscribed in May.
