LPL Alts Platform Reaches Nearly 110 Strategies; Firm Adds $350M Tampa Team

LPL Financial’s alternatives platform has grown to nearly 110 strategies, the firm said this week during its Focus 2026 conference in San Diego, as leaders detailed expansions across model portfolios, banking and lending, and high-net-worth services.
LPL chief executive officer Rich Steinmeier said the firm’s strategy is focused on giving advisers the capabilities, expertise, and flexibility they need to deepen relationships and grow their businesses.
Chief wealth officer Aneri Jambusaria detailed enhancements across investment management, alternative investments, tax planning, banking and lending, and high-net-worth services. Among the updates:
- Model Wealth Portfolios, LPL’s model portfolio platform, has grown to more than $200 billion and will lower its investment minimum to $1,000 later this year.
- LPL’s alternatives platform now provides access to nearly 110 strategies across private equity, real estate, and tax-advantaged solutions.
- LPL is developing an in-house securities-backed lending offering, the Secured Credit Account, and expanding integrated cash management capabilities.
Jambusaria said more than $300 billion in high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth assets reside on LPL’s platform, supported in part by Private Wealth Partners, a service connecting advisers with specialists in tax planning, equity compensation, business succession, and trust and estate planning.
Separately, LPL announced that advisers Matt Roberts and Kent Voges have joined Frontline Investment Advisors, powered by 15 Wealth, affiliating through the firm’s broker-dealer and registered investment adviser platforms. The Tampa, Fla.-based team reported serving approximately $350 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets and joined from Valic Financial Advisors, now Corebridge Financial.
“We’ve always believed that financial advice starts with listening and education,” said Roberts. “Every client’s situation is different, and our goal is to help them feel informed, comfortable and confident about the decisions they’re making.”
Voges said the support offered through 15 Wealth and Frontline Investment Advisors, combined with LPL’s technology and open-architecture platform, would let the team focus more on client service.
The move continues a run of recruitment activity for LPL’s broker-dealer platform; the firm added three adviser teams managing a combined $565 million in June and a $2 billion practice from PNC Private Bank in May.
