Eagle Point is an investment adviser registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, managing over $11 billion of assets for institutional, high net worth and retail clients. The firm employs approximately 87 professionals and is based in Greenwich, CT.
Eagle Point Securities, an affiliate of Eagle Point and a broker dealer registered with FINRA, is a wholesale fund distributor, including Eagle Point Institutional Income Fund, a non-traded closed-end fund registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, Eagle Point Enhanced Income Trust, an interval fund, and Eagle Point Credit Company’s non-traded preferred stock offering (Series AA/AB).
Role
Eagle Point is looking for motivated Internal Wholesalers to join our sales team. An Internal Wholesaler partners with the territory External Wholesaler to represent Eagle Point, generate sales of funds sponsored by Eagle Point within a specified geographic territory to brokers in the IBD and RIA marketplace and effectively develop advisor relationships and achieve sales goals through a systematic process of outbound sales calls, product presentation and general sales support.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails and referrals;
- Drive attendance to various External Wholesaler meetings, conferences, webinars/firm events;
- Work with External Wholesaler(s) and supervisor to establish an effective meeting schedule with key prospects and existing producers;
- Manage prospects and producers throughout the entire sales cycle;
- Help build and manage the territory calendar, rotation and ranking of advisors;
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all daily activities in the CRM system to include calls, emails and all follow up activity;
- Develop outstanding product knowledge of Eagle Point’s product suite with strong positioning strategies;
- Continually improve knowledge of the economy, financial markets and Alternative Investments;
- Provide frequent updates to External Wholesaler regarding process.
- Assist and resolve escalated client service matters, when necessary; and
- Adhere to all compliance/company guidelines and requirements.
The Internal Wholesaler position is an in-office position located in Greenwich, CT.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of internal sales experience and/or cold calling in financial services industry;
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- General knowledge of the financial services and real estate industry is preferred. Knowledge of market and competition;
- Individual should have knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others’ attention and demonstrates solid group presentation skills;
- Takes initiative and measures self against standard of excellence; sets and achieves challenging goals;
- Superior ability to multi-task and manage multiple work streams; and
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 required.
