SUMMARY:
Ultimus Fund Solutions is looking for an experienced leader to spearhead the continued development and growth of the registered alternatives administration business, including interval funds, tender offer funds, operating companies, REITs and BDC’s. The Head of Registered Alternative Proucts is a senior role that will involve setting the strategy for the registered alternatives business including the go to market approach, product offering, and technology and operating mode. This position will also be heavily involved in relationship management and be an external face to the business. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing and growing similar financial products, strong leadership skills, ability to manage a P&L, and a deep understanding of the registered alternative funds market.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Business Development
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the retail alternatives administration business in partnership with sales.
- Lead market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the retail funds market.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the client base.
- Represent Ultimus at key industry conferences, including panels and webinars; industry trade groups and committees (IPA, ADISA, NICSA, ICI, DCALTA).
- Serve in leadership position(s) on the primary RA-related Industry Committees to further establish Ultimus position as a leader in the marketplace.
- Develop collateral, presentation materials, whitepapers, and other tools in support of business development and client relationship management.
- Regularly provide organizational updates with key centers-of-influence including law firms, auditors, valuation agents, consultants, etc.
- Accountable for the line of business and for ambitious YoY growth targets.
- Identify any product gaps and develop and execute business plans to close them.Compliance, Regulatory & Risk
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevant licensing in place.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements for interval funds, tender offer funds or BDCs.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure we have a robust competitor analysis, and a leading-edge product suite with global coverage, and within our risk appetite.
- Manage change and develop risk mitigation plans.Technology & Operations
- Oversee the selection and implementation of technology solutions to support the retail alternatives administration business.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and performance.Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail alternatives administration.
clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. - Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and grow assets under management.
- Executive coverage of the largest, most important and / or most complex clients, prospects, territories, accounts, or internal relationships.
- Interface with the C-Suite independently.Leadership & Team Building
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing teams to support the retail alternatives administration business.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
- Direct short-and long-term department staffing needs and development at the overall function level.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with senior firm / business line management.
- The ability to manage large teams of employees and provide direction on complex business needs.
- Liaise with the team of Relationship and Client Service Delivery Managers that monitor KPIs and KPIs to ensure client satisfaction is consistently reviewed.Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage the budget for the retail alternatives administration business.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- May perform other duties as required and assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proven track record of leadership and success in a senior management role.
- Strong background in business development and client relationship management.
- In-depth knowledge of alternative investment products and market trends.
- Experience with international retail products such as ELTIF, LTAF, etc. is highly beneficial.

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the alternative investments sector, with a focus on retail services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is highly desirable.
- Equivalent education, experience, and KSA’s will be considered.PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
