JP Morgan Asset Management Adds Head of Investment Strategy to Real Estate Americas Team

Thomas Kennedy

J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced that Thomas Kennedy has joined as head of research and investment strategy for its Real Estate Americas team. In this new role, Kennedy will lead the Real Estate Americas research group and manage separate account teams – focusing on bringing market-leading insights and strategies to clients.

Based in New York, Kennedy reports to Chad Tredway, head of Real Estate Americas at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and also serves as a member of the Real Estate Americas operating committee.

“We are excited to welcome Tom as the head of research for the Real Estate Americas business. Now is the time for us to help our clients understand the current real estate landscape given today’s generational buying opportunity,” said Tredway.

Kennedy was previously the chief investment strategist for J.P. Morgan Global Wealth Management since 2021. He led the development of Wealth Management’s global economic and investment views, while serving as chair of the Global Investment Strategy Group. In this capacity, Kennedy advised high-net-worth clients on asset allocation within the context of their overall investment portfolios including tactical brokerage ideas and long-term discretionary strategies. Prior to serving as chief investment strategist, Kennedy held other J.P. Morgan roles from 2017 to 2021.

Earlier in his career, Kennedy held several roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 2009 to 2015.

Kennedy earned his Master of Business Administration from American University and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Lafayette College.

“Tom’s extensive expertise will be instrumental as we continue to enhance our research capabilities by leveraging the vast resources of the J.P. Morgan platform to deepen our investing edge, and equip clients with valuable, data-driven insights on the ever-evolving real estate market,” added Tredway.
