CAIS Expands Alts Offerings Via New Relationship With Blackstone

CAIS, an alternative investment platform for independent financial advisers, has expanded its CAIS Marketplace offerings with a select number of Blackstone’s alternative investment strategies.

The deal will enable CAIS to offer its clients access to products from the world’s largest asset manager; Blackstone has over $1 trillion in assets under management.

“We are committed to providing independent advisers with access to the leading alternative investment strategies from the top alternative asset managers in the industry,” said Matt Brown, founder and chief executive officer at CAIS. “As adviser demand for alternative investments accelerates, we are excited to welcome Blackstone, a firm that shares our vision in delivering quality education and strategies to financial advisers everywhere.”

The selected Blackstone strategies, which have undergone third-party due diligence by Mercer but have not been announced publicly, will be made available to CAIS’ network of registered independent advisers, independent broker-dealers, and RIA aggregators that oversee more than $4 trillion in assets.

CAIS said Blackstone – like all alternative asset managers on the platform – will benefit from a custom analytics dashboard designed to optimize their platform engagement, pipeline management, and sales efforts. Asset managers on the platform also receive access to an online education offering (CAIS IQ), digital marketing support, and integrations with leading custodians, reporting providers, and fund administrators.

Previously reported by AltsWire, this news follows CAIS’ similar integrations: one with Orion’s wealth advisory clients in March 2024, and another with Wealth Enhancement Group in October 2022.

“We are pleased to collaborate with CAIS to introduce a number of Blackstone’s strategies to their broad network of independent advisers,” said Todd Myers, senior managing director and chief operating officer of private wealth solutions at Blackstone. “The growing number of advisers using private markets as a core portfolio allocation need just the type of deep commitment Blackstone and CAIS are making.”
